I have a confession to make. I love crochet thread, and I have a lot of it. I have close to 100 spools! Most of it was given to me by people and a few I picked up at thrift stores, and even fewer I've actually bought new. There's something about all the bright colors, different shades of white, and just the way the thread looks itself all wound up on cardboard spools. It's so pretty. But, I also can't stand things not getting used. I went through my thread the other night and sorted it out by size to see just what I have so I can start using it up. My dream is to put every bit of this thread to some use. Crazy? Maybe. But I just get so thrilled when I finish off a spool of thread and see something pretty was made from it after it sat neglected for so many years and that the space the spool took up is now empty.
What would you make with 100 spools of crochet thread? I would like to try knitting a doily, because I've never tried that yet, but I'm also trying to think outside of the box of doilies and flowers and think of something fun and completely different to try.
